It’s Friday! Let us kick off a great weekend with all of the rad new music that has been released this week. Down below are all of the releases that happened to catch my eye. Have recommendations? Be sure to send them my way to possibly be added to the list!
Sleeping With Sirens – “Cheers”
“Cheers” is the latest release off of the upcoming Sleeping With Sirens album, Gossip, which is due to release on September 22nd, 2017. This is the third track the band has shared from Gossip, and I can definitely say that this new era of Sleeping With Sirens is the most energetic and exciting yet. Pre-order Gossip here.
grandson – “War”
I had heard of grandson before, but never got around to listening to them until this release! Describing their sound is nearly impossible, but know that it is SO good!
Thirty Seconds To Mars – “Walk on Water”
This song was released a couple days ago on August 22nd. The lyric video features footage filmed throughout the day on July 4th, 2017, which I think is a really cool concept that created such a unique visual. Thirty Seconds To Mars teased the song’s release with a video of a select group of people hearing the song for the first time with a message at the end which revealed that a new album and tour will be coming soon too!
Hollywood Undead – “Whatever It Takes”
Preparing for the band’s upcoming album, this is the second release off of Five, which is due to come out on October 27th, 2017. The first single, “California Dreaming,” was released along with the announcement of the album. Check out both of the songs, and pre-order Five here.
Nothing More – “Who We Are”
Nothing More have never released a mediocre song, and they sure are not going to start now. “Who We Are” is the fifth track off of their upcoming album, The Stories We Tell Ourselves, which is due to come out on September 15th, 2017. You can pre-order the album right here.
PVRIS – All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell
PVRIS just dropped their much anticipated album, All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell, and it is FANTASTIC! The band’s moody sound pairs perfectly with their image. You can pick the album up at any major music shop.
Recommended track: “Winter”
Our Last Night – “HUMBLE.” (COVER OF KENDRICK LAMAR)
Released earlier in the week, Our Last Night’s cover of Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.” If you are familiar with the band, you would know that they release cover songs with their own twist often, and I LOVE hearing these new creations! Our Last Night does have original music too, so after you hear this, you will have to check that out.
Taylor Swift – “Look What You Made Me Do”
It is literally impossible to not know that Taylor Swift has released a new song today because EVERYONE is talking about it. Sounding nothing like any of her previous releases, “Look What You Made Me Do” is a song that is going to symbolize a change in Swift’s craft. Personally, the track reminds me of a Peaches song (You know who they are. Don’t act like you don’t.), but I have also heard other’s mention a resemblance between the chorus of this and Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy.” You tell me what YOU think!
Comment which new release is your favorite, and SHARE this with your friends, so they can stay up to date with all of the latest music!
